The Four Seasons of Lake Montriond
Introduction
Welcome — and thank you for visiting Les Quatre Saisons du Lac de Montriond, my open-air photography exhibition around this stunning alpine lake.
Created in collaboration with the Town Hall of Montriond and the Vallée d’Aulps Tourist Office, it invites you to take a quiet walk through the changing seasons — to pause, breathe, and feel the beauty that surrounds us here.
About the Project
This exhibition grew from countless early mornings and long walks around the lake, watching how light, water, and weather transform it again and again.
Each visit brings something new, frost and silence in winter, mist and reflection in autumn, blossoms in spring, and vibrant energy in summer.
It is, and will always be, one of my favourite places to photograph, because it never stays the same. The lake teaches patience, presence, and wonder.
In winter, you’ll often find me and a few brave friends dipping into its icy waters. In summer, I’m usually swimming or paddle boarding, camera nearby — because the light is irresistible.

The Exhibition
This series includes nine photographs, each capturing a different mood and season of the lake — from the frozen calm of ‘Frosty Valley‘ to the golden warmth of ‘Misty Embrace‘.
Every image is paired with a few words, written to invite reflection rather than explanation — an open space for you to pause and simply be.
You can view all the exhibition panels on the lakeside trail at Montriond.

The Lake Montriond Collection
The photographs from this exhibition belong to a larger ongoing series.

Each print is available in several sizes and finishes.
If one of them speaks to you, or if you’d like advice on printing, framing, or selecting the right piece for your space, I’d be delighted to help.
Here are some of my images in their new homes.

Behind the Lens
Living in France for nearly two decades has allowed me to truly connect with this landscape — not just as a photographer, but as someone who calls it her home.
The lake is more than a subject; it’s a companion through the seasons.
When I photograph it, I’m trying to capture not only what I see, but what I feel — that quiet peace between stillness and change.

Thank You
Thank you for taking the time to pause — whether by the water or here online.
I hope these images offer a moment of calm and reflection, and perhaps inspire you to visit Lake Montriond yourself — to see how it changes, day by day, season by season.
With gratitude,
